Speech therapy
Communication.
Sitting here, trying to best figure
out how to express myself.
It comes easy to some, but not so for others.
I'm not very outspoken. At least, not so at first.
But I love languages,
the music to my ears.
It is thanks, Avenlea, my SAR,
who introduced me to
Speech language pathology.
I've always wanted
a career in which I could go home
everyday knowing that
I had positively impacted
someone else's life.
After volunteering
and tutoring
I realized, I enjoyed
working with kids.
Thus, it is my dream job,
to work as
a speech language pathologist
at an elemantry school.
But before all that,
I will have to complete my
Bachelor's Degree.
And then going on to
grad school.
Along the way,
I may even study abroad
and double major
in Chinese -
a language I've always
wanted to master.
With that, I could
help even more children become
more fluent with their
communication.
