Space

The silent sea

The endless ocean that holds you and me

and the rest of life as we know it.

I'd rather not know

Not see the countless patterns plotted out

by the astronomers with their rows and columns.

Rather in a boat

Amist the dark silence and pulsing stars

I float there, and see god.
