Sonnet of a Friend

Mutual understandings that flow together,

                Unparalleled feeling of belonging,

And the unending thrill of adventure

Are the abundant fruits to friendship’s calling.

The warm and bountiful embrace of friendship

Elicits the probity and truth of my person.

On the rightful foundation of fellowship

                No link can undergo contortion.

I see its strong pillars of mutualism

Supporting the structure from turmoil and disdain.

Even when flooded with antagonism,

The potent ties of friendship remain.

The bonds will strengthen in perfect unity

For true friendship endures an enternity.
