Looking at her plate
Glancing at her thighs
No thanks, she says
Waiting to be perfect, or what she thinks is perfect.

"Guys won't like me" she says
Ribs almost bursting out her skin, every vertebrae showing.
"I need to look like her" she says
Slowly shrinking, size after size.
Clothes getting bigger while she stays small.

Always turning down food, drinking only water.
"In trying to lose weight" she says
What they don't know shes trying to lose the thoughts in her head and the judgment through her eyes.
