Something, Anything

I can't begin to understand

Your depression,

Isolation.

But I can understand

How life leaves you raw,

Unable to feel,

Numb.

You want nothing more than to feel

Something,

Anything,

But there's nothing left.

You're tired of trying,

So you pull that blade across your arm,

Leaving a trail of red.

The blood is welting,

Like your tears.

You see your skin tear

And you feel

Something,

Anything.
