When you're a writer
There's only one hope
That someone out there
Will hear you

With every word
All we can think of
Is that person who heard
At least one thought

Because nothing
Will make a writer happier
Than knowing
That we were heard

So when a writer
Finishes that poem
It doesn't matter
Who hears

As long as someone does
