Some people believe

Some people believe that their opinion matters to everyone, but I call that narcissism. some people believe that their actions don't matter, but I call that low self esteem. Some people believe that is they fail their friends won't love them, but I call that a lie. If you make a mistake and your friends down you then they were not your friends. As human beings we are so constantly concentrated on what we have to lose that we never stop to think about what we have to gain. We always make our decisions frantically and typically to avoid confrontation or more effort than necessary, but is it really our fault that we were raised as a lethargic generation? After all we were raised by television, nurtured by cell phones, and wooed to sleep by the sound of our own laziness. It is so easy in these modern days to just simply quit or move on when life gets to tough, but it not only keeps us from exploring new possibilities, but it teaches us that goals and a driving force are things of the past. Passion is outdated and hard work is obsolete. In this society we have so many material items that when it comes to important decisions we don't hesitate to put the things we have to lose before the things we have to gain. Yes an iPhone is nice, but an iPhone can't give you fulfillment, an Xbox won't give you love, a computer can't help you find purpose, and your television won't show you how to reach redemption. We get so lost in what we have to lose that we forget about what we have to gain. Some people believe that video games rot your brains, I call that paranoia. Some people say that the world we live in is falling apart, I wouldn't be surprised. Some people believe that there is no hope for a brighter future ahead, I disagree wholeheartedly.
