society

They told her she looked better without her glasses

so she stopped wearing them.

They told her she'd look better if she didn't have pimples on her face

so she started wearing an abundant amount of makeup.

They told her she would look better if she lost a couple of pounds

so she stopped eating, and started binging, and purging.

The world was tormenting her, and it was making her insane.

So she smoked a whole pack of Marbolo Reds each day.

She was depressed and the thoughts that roamed through her mind

made her take a razor and cut herself each night.

Someone told her the world would be a better place if she didn't exist

so she commited suicide the next day.

after she died, they regret everything they said to her.

when they went to her funeral and they told her, "I love you", or

"I'mgoing to miss you, or, "I'm sorry."

That night I witnessed the cruel things a human is capable of.

Some people are toxic; they seem to carry venom in their veins--

they're hypocrites because they only seem to

regret the words once said when they see

someone lying peacefully in a coffin.
