Winter breeze stings these broken wings
With its lingering touch that seems to flow
Interlocking somewhere in between a dream and forgotten memory
The pendulum's swings begin to slow
As reality and fantasy become a gallery
Images flutter
Not a single word uttered
Visions of a life with a purpose
Wings that were once luminous and gorgeous
Against the soft-touch clouds
And fathomless sky
Wings that soared and made you proud
Ones that remembered how to fly
These wings that knew no bounds
Are now but a series of tormented agony...
