So They Say

BLACK, White, Yellow, or Brown we are one of a kind? So they say

What  are THEY fighting for? They say

Why are THEY protesting the streets? They say

Its NOT about black or white? They say

Hell I could be GREY and still want to fight, they say

What about what we got to say, I say

Black lives matter, I say

It aint just a hashtag, I say

Its not just about Micheal Brown, I SAY

Its about all of US

WHY Don't they care, I say

Oh just a NEGRO boy in the streets, THEY SAY

FERGUSON sparks revolution, THEY SAY

THEY SAY, blood will shed so why should I stay

But haven't we already seen darkness, WHEN WILL THERE BE LIGHT?

TIRED of the fight, TIRED of trying to prove myself

Im not just a NEGRO, Im a person

Micheal Brown still is and WAS A PERSON

TAKEN, like a mere slave

Picked on from the grave

THEY SAY, its OVER

i SAY, WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO
