A Snow Psalm

Location

I trust in my Heavenly Father, always.

Though the bitter snow and ice encompass me

Making me slip and slice, almost succumbing to vice

While the fierce and indignant wind claws my face

I will remember the warmth of my Father's embrace

And let Him carry me to a brighter place

Where I no longer feel low

But am reminded of the beauty of snow

So pure, so clean, so innocent

Like the children playing in the yard with their snowman

They bring a smile to my face every day

I will always be grateful for them.

And then soft snow settles on my hair from above

As I begin to reminisce about my first love

Though his kiss was sweet

And his arms were safe and strong

Though his warmth made me feel like I belong

His passion for me was only temporary

But my Father's warmth burns eternally

And He welcomes me back with open arms

He is my one true source of safety and joy

Every day He fills me with new strength to resist the devil's ploy

To ultimately destroy me

He effaces the mistakes I made in the past

And his perfect snow,

His precious snow,

It washes me.

I am purified; I am free!

The spring is near, a new beginning!

I will always trust in His plan for me,

my Father, my King.
