Snow Day

Life is interrupted today. Schools are shut down, highways are closed, and life is temporarily halted. I may work on homework, tackle laundry, or catch up on my Netflix shows. Whatever I choose it will be in the comfort of my home, dressed in pajamas, and moving in slow motion. The snow tempts me outside to take a picture. I linger momentarily until my toes begin to scream at me. I go back into the warmth of the house, pour my coffee, and wait. I wait for life to begin again with its fast pace, it's commitments and schedules, and running here and then there. But today, life is interrupted and I'm at peace with that.
