Small

Buried underneath the skin

Every box you tried to put me in

Could not show you now what is really inside

All the promises; why did you lie?

Upon my face you laid your hand

Sent me into a forbidden land

Every night the same routine

I tried to see that you weren't mean

Love, a word difficult to define

Oscillating between excuses in my mind

Violent ending, yes, I know,

Everything would've been better if I would have let you go

Years later, there still are scars

Only now I can see the stars

Under the monster that you truly are
