Love is a complex and interesting thing

It amazes us, no matter how we swing

It can save you from trouble, free you from pain,

But sometimes, there isn't any gain.

Love can be daunting and haunting and rough

It can drive you mad, make your life tough

But love can be fun, beautiful, and free

It can linger forever inside you and me.

It can wriggle and struggle and slither away

Or, it can make the dark nights into beautiful days

Love can confuound, it can hurt, it can burn

But sometimes that pain is the best way to learn.

Overall I believe that love is needed

For those that have won, and those defeated

Love is a cure, a potion of grace

It quickens the heart, increases its pace.

Make sure to learn to love, but learn from it too

Suffer the heartbreaks, you can definetly get through

And at the end of the road, you will truely know

What joy really is, and where you're destined to go.
