Sitting

I sit in this dark room crying alone,Knowing outside my door the world is still going on,why is it that no one can hear my silent cries, every one was at this age, why is it that they can’t empathize? Empathize with a girl that cries, silently at night, wondering whether her body will ever be “right.”We were taught to love who we are,but society keeps my view at a low bar.  I sit in this dark room crying alone,Knowing outside my door the world is still going on,I chose to get up off this floor and embrace what I was given, growing up daddy always told me i was a limited edition,I put my chucks on with a smile, because this is me and this is my style.  I sit in this dark room crying alone,Knowing outside my door the world is still going on,I’m not the only girl behind closed doors,It’s time we show everyone we are something more, more than what we portray, more than what they think,WE ARE BEAUTIFUL, those are the words that should forever be in permanent ink.
