Sin's deception

Sin’s deception

Romans 7:19-20

19 For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want! 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer me doing it but sin that lives in me.

Sin you are deceptive ... you convince me you’re all right.

You make all things so simple ... you’re out of sight.

There are ways of knowing but you hide them so well.

You drape the truth in a mist ... confuse it, I can tell.

By the time I notice ... I lost my self-control.

The old and new are intertwined and in the middle a black hole.

It seems all are drawn to it ... it swallows all light it seems.

Maybe if it could absorb all sin ... we finally would be free.

It is the pit of deception ... it is depravity itself ruling

and all the ones it does attract ... are drowned in sin's drooling.
