Sinking

Life squandered

Debris drifting carelessly by.

We drift

Carelessly by.

Watching, waiting, knowing

But not caring.

They warned us

But we won’t listen

Deaf to the great blue cries for help

We drift

Carelessly by.

Our days are numbered.

But we don’t listen.

We’re happy to drift

And float

Until we start to sink.
