Simply I love

Because I love you...

No.

Simply I love.

I love you in the morning when I rise.

I love you when I bring you coffee.

There is no 'because' because simply I love.

Conditions are just meaningless strings.

They tangle at the slightest breeze between the barren trees.

When all the leaves have fallen and all that stands are the naked branches,

When the beauty of new spring has fallen,

and it's much easier to see the dark, true core within.

Still, simply I love.

In each season of our love it is only I love you because...

You smile at the slightest giggle or trial.

You hold me when it seems like I cannot hold myself.

You read me sonnets and sing songs into the night.

With each melody and season of our own personal song,

deeper I fall, deeper I love.

No strings, No conditions,

No leaves in the winter or flowers in spring.

Simply I love because your barren roots are still beautiful to me.
