Simple

Life is complicated,

The world is complicated.

So maybe I greet the day,

For everything that is simple.

The moments otherwise ignored,

The moments filled with contagious laughter,

The moments of silent bliss.

Most importantly,

The conversations void of small talk,

But they still seem to be simple.

Simple in that,

Words flow back and forth.

Simple in that,

Nothing goes unsaid.

That there is no fear of judgement

No more biting your tongue.

Just the feeling that nothing in that moment is more important.

That is what I live for.

Simplicity.

The dream that one day

The world may be simple,

And we may all experience

Love in its simplest form.
