Silver and Gold

Thu, 02/11/2016 - 14:34 -- A-7

People having their souls sold,

For worthless things, silver and gold,

Ambitious souls seeking riches untold,

Not knowing that their treasure lies in the people they hold,

Tell me what can replace the love of a Father or a Mother,

What can replace the friendship of a sister or a brother,

God's priceless blessings, everything else is vanity,

Chasing worthless things will only lead to insanity,

Instead, appreciate those around you, those gifts that will always stay,

Because tomorrow isn't promised, make the most of each day,

Don't waste your life trying to find your worth in material things,

Because at the end of the day, your loved ones will always be there to help you through whatever this life brings...
