Silence and Noise

Simply the fact that no words are coming out of my mouth does not mean that I am not speaking.

I speak with the exasperation of my sighs,

I speak with the slight eye movement shy of focus,

I speak with the intensity of my grips,

I speak with the uncomfortable shift of my hips.

Too many people look to those that have their mouths wide open with no filters,

That the ones with closed mouths and polite consideration are overlooked.

While 1 out of a million is standing up and voicing opinions,

the remaining sea of people show disagreement in silent din.

We listen to the noise when we should be paying attention for the silence.
