Sick & Tired

             I’m sick of the police

I am tired of cops who are providing death and not safety

But were they really ever here to protect blacks

Never this was created to bring us back to our “masters” during slavery

And now they continue to try to put us six feet under

To make it home safely

Back to their families

But what about our families

What about the losses we mourn

Related or not

Every killing feels like it hits home

I’m tired of no indictment

For criminals that wear blue

And videos that obviously show the proof

My heart cries out in pain

But I’m wise enough to ask myself

Will things ever change?

Yeah they’ll change when my eyes shine blue

Until then I’ll always be wrong or a suspect

In the eyes of a racist that wears blue
