Danni puts on her makeup, lies and say's she's fine.

She covers her bruises and she heals them with wine.

You see Danni she's dying from a broken heart,

but she's a mother, she has to play her part.

His hits are like kisses, his words flood her head.

But no one can save her, inside she's already dead.

She puts on her apron, he snaps and she gives him a twirl.

She puts on her diamonds and a necklace of pearl.

She puts on a mask so the world doesn't know.

She raises the curtain then she puts on a show.

Charlie's got a secret and he'll run and he'll lie.

If he doesn't have his darling he thinks he might die.

His family so perfect and shiny, he's their windup toy.

Charlie can't tell them he's in love with a boy.

He fixes his hair then ties the knot in his tie.

He tries to forget that he’s living a lie.

He puts on a mask so the world doesn’t know.

He raises the curtain then he puts on a show.

My mouth is a gun, but I cannot aim,

my spirit is a lion that you cannot tame.

I’m a little bit of everything all in one.

I’m a poet, a lover and I’m somebody’s son.

I’m an angel and a demon when it’s all said and done.

I once held a gun in my mouth,

scared of what I would or wouldn't become.

I don’t show the real me, I’m smoke, mirrors and guns

I still may let go when the end of the show comes.

I think it’s a feeling we all might know

I raise the curtain, we all put on a show.
