A Show

I'm telling a story,

A mask my disguise

A play for the public

My life is a lie.

I walk in my costume,

Assume my role,

I put on my personality,

Leave the reality.

I let a few things slide,

My hair color, my eyes

Some things that I like

I hide the lie.

I continue my act,

Throughout the entire play,

And when the show's over

I exit the stage.

Where I'm alone I'll be the real me,

But tomorrow a new act is showing,

I'll have to don my disguise,

Until then I'll learn my script of

lies...
