This is a shoutout to my best friend,

She's one of those friends that last until the very end.

I remember the day we met in the sixth grade,

I opened my mouth and started to get brave,

I'm so happy I spoke to you that day,

Because without you, I'd never be the same.

 

This is a shoutout to my best friend,

Who sticks with me through every curve and bend.

When we started high school,

I remember we felt so cool.

Our egos got knocked down a few pegs,

Because you were hurt, you cut your legs,

I told you to stop because I love you,

And to this day I hold my word true.

 

This is a shoutout to my best friend,

Who always has a shoulder to lend.

When I cry, I know you feel it too,

And to strengthen me up, you asked "Who made you feel blue?"

I sat up and hugged you,

And told you "You're my best friend, if you haven't figured that out yet, get a clue".

 

This is a shoutout to my best friend,

Who helps me when my heart needs mend.

You're there for me, and I'm there for you,

And I wrote this poem because I hope you love me too.
