SHOT DOWN

dear boy i almost gave everything to,

i am not a glistening bar of solid authentic gold,

i am not a crystal clear 50 karat diamond,

i am not a smooth pearl that shimmers in the sun.

i am a ruby.

full of passion, desire

in its crevices intensity,

intimidation

on its edges eccentricity,

free spirit.

full of  fire and light and all,

all that makes whole.

hard to stay away from,

the epitome of everything,

you.

i crave to be  craved.

blood and satan placed

in one, so solid, unbreakable

remarkable, rememberable

yet so fragile.

i'd do anything for you in the dark.

chaos, destruction, calamity

wrapped in your cayenne fingertips,

your skin dashed in brown sugar,

your eyes drowned in sweet cinammon,

of sin.

i tried to take you in strides,

but not all boots were made

for walking.
