THIS SHORT LIFE

See how fleeting life is

yet all vital things we miss

we focus on things insignificant

fussing over things unimportant

we worry too much

and as such

many yesteryears were here

today they are now-where.

As we journy on life's road

we will hear many stories told

different sepia cross our path

handful stay, others depart

many backstab

and foes wish we'ld starve.

Most will hurt others will heal

we have to focus on the positives and enjoy our meal

I will alwys remember and never forget

most are with me for what they'll get

When I fall

they'ld back me and form a wall.

I expect disappointment from any body

never to be decieved by language body

words matter not

Got to use all've got

To identify  friends

who eagerly wait for my end

I can't be carried away

by mere words and pretencious ways.

Life is like a storm

Storms of all forms

it's a choice to swim or sink

In hard times, I can blink

But never be blinded

Or dejected

I can't be anyone's option

Or selected like lotion'

I've learnt to smile laugh and play

we need dozens of those each day

as we wait for deaths' call

I will always walk tall

Making impact

walkng in the right path.

I have burdens I carry

but I can't on burdens tarry

I've to live, mingle and tango

enjoying life like a juicy mango

working, having fun and doing my best

while to fate I leave the rest.
