Shipwrecks

Ecclesiastes 1:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of desire.
This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Shipwrecks

Once the pride of the eye … now rusting on the bottom

like a human soul ... at the very end.

The question “Why?” ... will forever fathom

the futility of goals ... if truth has to be bent.

We are a lot like ships ... filled with assigned treasure

when sailing in the sunshine ... all appears well.

When big storms hit ... it’s impossible to measure

the difference of the “defined” ... and the pits of hell.

What does preparation ... have to do with it?

Can it prevent the storm ... delay in its coming?

What is the motivation ... when all turns to spit

and uncertainty ... seems forever roaming?

Who cares about the ship ... is it not the captain?

Is it not he ... who sees you through?

If you want to live ... is it not repentance

that prepares the plea ... when you don’t have a clue?
