"She's a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing"

You’re my best friend-

what should have been a modest prank turned into a sick plan

that left me squandering energy for your own entertainment.

You played me like a puppet

I was emotionally and intellectually invested

and you kicked me off the road to be laughed at.

Shut your mouth,

how dare you fucking laugh.

You baited me into a circus cage

then enticed my awareness with a story.

You were a victim of manipulation;

she was a social villain

nicknamed “The Wolf.”

I was desperate to understand.

You gave me a name and face

but warned me of appearances:

Her raw, menacing traits

lie under a guise of sweetness.

It’s how she preys on you.

I guzzled down the details

and ran through streets in a manic

announcing “Beware, the monster!

Have you heard of The Wolf?”

For five months you fed me that lie,

and for five months I looked like a fool.

I consulted family and friends

but none divulged the truth.

I compiled primary sources,

tried to piece together a fake puzzle…

This psychopath

this psychological “Wolf”?

Her real name was Molly- it was all a sham.

You’re my best friend.

You played me like a puppet:

I was emotionally and intellectually invested

and you kicked me off the road to be laughed at.
