She Walked Away

There she stood

Barely five feet tall

There she walked away

How strange it is

How important someone can be

When you feel nothing when they leave

She who was once my everything

Is now a fuzzy memory

There she goes

Shrinking into the distance

There she disappears

Leaving me with things she changed

And all I’ve learned about myself

Yet the feelings have faded

And I am all but jaded

Toward the girl who changed my life
