She Tells Me to Just Breathe

Location

Rapid thoughts,

Confusion, chaos,

Anxiety wraps its heavy hand

Around my thinning breathe.

With so few hours,

 to do so much.

Will I ever be good enough?

Cliché, I know

But, still, the thought infiltrates

My frazzled mind.

But I take a breath,

Quick and shallow.

I write a line.

Wait for this to pass;

Anxiety attack.

It passes finally

After an eternity

And everything is balanced;

If only for a moment.

But then again, there’s always tomorrow.
