She Ran

She sat quietly, waiting for the storm to end

But when it didn’t, she ran.

She tried to see through the fog

And waited for the mist to rise,

But when it didn’t, she ran.

She blustered through the dark

And waited for the mist to rise,

But it didn’t, so she ran.

She blustered through the dark,

She waited for the rain to cease,

But it didn’t, so she ran.

She ran until she saw the light of day.

She waited for the rain to cease

And saw the rainbow form above.

She ran until she saw the light of day

And basked in the rays of the sun.
