She is Light, She is Darkness

She is light

Living, moving light

She is fire

Dancing, flickering, untouchable

One may try to grasp her

But if he holds onto her too long

He may wish he hadn't at all

She is darkness

Dangerous, lovely darkness

She is damaged

Broken, jarred fragments

She hides in her remains

Knowing no one can save her

But forever wishing one would try

She is dust

Earth, ash, and dust

She is a memory

A ghost, a phantom, an illusion

She saved herself

No one could erase her nightmares

For she herself was one
