Shadows on Stone

Illuminated brilliance

casted by the sun. 

Stretching their arms

like bars on a cell. 

Black as the Earth underneath,

and empty as the sky. 

 

Entrapping me in tendrils of Shadow,

tying me to this plane. 

I look up-

and see nothing but the

remnants of a blinding light.
