The Shadows that I See

The shadows that I see,

Creep upon my body while I walk.

Everywhere I go,

They are there in the dark.

The shadows that I see,

Have no home.

They are always out,

Waiting patiently for me.

The shadows that I see,

Have minds of their own.

They creep on walkways, trees and stone.

I turn the corner,

And to my surprize,

I see a shadow with my two eyes.

Right in my face,

I can't turn left or right.

I have no space!!

The shadows that I see,

Are always the same size.

And I always see them with my two eyes.
