Deep within the shadows there's a me you've never seen

She hides within the darkness shrouded in endless mystery

I keep her locked up nice and tight

she never sees the light

There's just no guarantee

if you could only see

that the me within is just too different and too strange

for today's society

They say the world is dark

they say the world is cruel

but the world within my mind there's a shinning light and spark

The world it isn't ready for the light I have to give

and so I hide within the shadows where I am free to be the truest me I am
