Shade

For a moment I felt calm.

A twilight zone entrenched with cool.

The wisps of my hair caressed my face

as I shaded my eyes with my hand.

A smile presenting itself on my face.

The shape of a crescent could be seen.

Glistening with light it did not want to hide.

My feet planted in the meadow where I stood.

How small I felt at that moment.

The might and glory of the sky could be seen.

As I stood and watched in the shade, serene.
