Serenity

Location

Bang Bang

Was what I heard every night,

Police car sirens were my nighttime lullaby,

People always use to tell me,"Everything will be alright", but when I saw my mom fall to the floor I knew they had lied.

Thinking every night what I would do to her killer and not once thinking of any consequences.

So as you can see violence had once taken over my life and I wish I had known what peace was like,

But I also wish my mother was alive.

But is she? No.

So that was basically the reason I lost all hope.

But you see now, my mind focuses on peace and serenity as a kid violence almost drove me to complete insanity.

Finding peace changed who I was,

Because my whole perspective is now focused on love.
