serenity

Such a life
Is the one we have
Such ways of expression
That we show
Such love
That we seek
Such peace
That we dream for
Such happiness
We grasp at
Why is it
That
We have to work so hard
For something that
Is natural
Why is it
We've lost our way
Forgotten
That
The simplest things in life
Are what make it worth living
Our hearts are obscured
Behind
A wall made of steel
Built up by the
Transgressions
Of the life we lead
Too late
We try to tear that wall down
Too late
We see that it's not there
To keep the bad out
But to keep good locked in
How can we live a life of
Peace
Love
Happiness...
Serenity
If we're not willing to share it with each other?
Are we not
All one?
Are we not all,
Human
Is our
Fear
Of the unknown
Really going to keep us
Locked within?
Or
Will we find that key
Find the lock
Break the steel wall
And let our
Hearts
Really feel?
Serenity will
Never be found
If we don't open our
Eyes
Our minds
Most importantly
We'll
Never find
That
Serenity and
Peace we
So desperately search for
is right in front of us

We all talk about

Love

Peace

And equality

the equality of

mankind

of humans

But not enough of us are

Working

Not enough of us are

Trying

Not enough of us

Have the personal motivation

Not enough of us

Want to make the changes

Necessary

Not only for the future,

Something that seems so far away

No

The

Changes to our world

To each living human

The changes that are

Internal

And external

They need to happen now

Today

This minute

This second.

If not

Then when?
