Selfish Soul

I wonder what the sky feels when it's clouds are heavy and can no longer hold the rain.

I wonder if the sun every wants to touch the moon.

Do the fish ever wish they could feel the ground?

I wonder why my heart decides it's okay to hold so much pain.

When the day is done and the sun is set I realize I am alone again.

I am the moon that let the sun get close.

I am the fish that took it's last breath while it touched the ground.

I am the clouds trying to hold in the rain.

I am the heart that bears with all of the pain.

I am the selfish soul who did everything she could to never feel alone again.
