What has poetry taught me?

Ha! What has it not?

Poetry gave me a pedestal to stand on.

Got me back on my feet.

Lifted me up when I was at my lowest.

Allowed me to look inside and see my flaws

Also gave me the tools to fix those very same flaws.

Poetry got me to where I am today.
