Seeing Her

Location

Today I am gazing at my periwinkle skies,
Eyes like telescopes
searching,
Anticipating
Every aviation instrument
That could bring all 206 bones in your body
To every aching 206 of mine.

Today I have been entangled in
Menial tasks
But you know
I would rather be in entangled in your limbs
Entangled in your grin,
Immersed in the seconds between our kisses,
Immersed in every breath you take.

So on the fifth of July
When you are seated on the airplane flying you 1,427 miles away,
I hope you know that
No plane in the world could make my heart soar like you do.

My door will always be open for you. Wherever you are, whoever you will become,
I will love you until the end of time. I love you.
