Secrets

The girl you see has secrets to hide.

Secrets of her life.

Except they are secrets that build,

They break her like a knife.

The girl you see has stories to tell.

Stories of a father whose cancer

overpowered him.

She never got the answer.

She watched as he withered away.

Becoming a man she never knew.

You see the story of cancer,

has not appealing to.

The girl you see,

She has secrets to hide.

Except those secrets are her life,

Without them, who would she be?
