Seasons: A Poem in Four Haikus

Location

Snow falls on the ground

Blanketing the land in white

Bright, cold, uniform.

Snow melts and flowers

Rise up tentatively from

The newly freed earth.

Flowers fall and leaves

Are left alone covering fruit

In sunlight and heat

The green drains from leaves

Glorious, colorful death

Winter comes again soon.
