Seasons

We were the open ended meadows

The sun glistening on the morning dew

The never ending converdations connecting through the breeze

We were the falling rain

Washing each others imperfections away

Creating canyons to form a map only known by us

We were spring

Then time passed

We were the overflowing grass

Not limited to the constraints that others would impose

The nights that we wanted to never end

The unstoppable heat

We were the happiest we thought we could be

Infinities seemed more then just irrational drunken thinking, even though we never once induldged in anything but each others intoxicating kiss

We were summer

Then time passed

We were the falling leaves

Beautiful in colors yet falling from what use to be our security

The cool crisp air that tickled the face

The apple pickings I didn't realise you started to do

I was the sweater that vy mid-day you didn't need

We were fall

We were falling

Then time passed

You were the first coat of snow

Covering up the previous seasons

I was the frozen river

Hiding my turmoil under the stillness

We were the biting cold

Our words became daggers that pierced straight to the bone

You threw the first snowball

Slowly burying me til I became a snowman

We weren't in the same sentence anymore

Then time passed

You and her created maps and learned each others bodies until they became your own

You and her were the happiest that you two could ever be

Then time passed

You and her never went apple picking, she was one you got last time after all

Then time passed

You and her melted the snow with each other's heat

I was still a snowman

Turned cold from deceit

Wondering if someone will eventually melt me with their heat
