School View

You need an education in order to succeed

Unless you really have a dream

One that fills your mind every day

And makes you believe

Tomorrow could be the day

But I don’t have a dream

My life isn't shaped that way

So I sit here wondering

"Will I really succeed?"

Failed Bio once

But I am continuing

Mainly because of the opportunity

And working at Party City would be torturing

Fast forward two years since Biology

I realize now what's so conflicting to me

It's not the education, but school itself

The letters on paper

And paper we pay

"Wasting trees"

Isn't that what you tree huggers would say?

Who knows, maybe not ---assuming, I hate

Back to my point

It's school I hate

Then one day, advice was given my way

That saying no to friends is actually okay

But what about when these people need you most

And their issues are flooding

Cornering them in a boat

While I'm just sitting here "studying"

Ignoring the problems

That, I cannot do.

That, I will not do.

People are more important

Than the letters on paper I get

So when it comes at the end of May

All I have to say is

Fuck it.
