The School on Madison Street

Forty years ago

My father went here

A 13-year-old 8th grader

Finishing his last year

Thirty years afterwards

That was me

We both remember

The school on Madison Street

Its name- saw changes

Its teachers- came and went

But what will not forgotten-

The time there we spent

1973-Green Street

2003- Progressive

2013- Hope

Future name- What wil it be?

So when you go through Pleasant Hill

To L H WIlliams or Booker T

Or maybe just cutting through- never forget

The school on Madison Street
