The Safest Fall

Dearest love,

I'm falling.

but it's warmer down here

safer, slower, more patient

I'm definitely falling.

but my body is at ease

my mind tranquil

my spirit satisfied

I'm absolutely falling.

but I feel strangely nourished

courageous, adventurous

I'm falling ever so quickly

but I am empowered-

everywhere I turn I feel softness and warmth

and skin and lips and stubble

and soft breath and kind eyes

resting upon my cheekbones

but I never feel dirty

or dangerous-

in the moment,

I just

feel.

I've fallen

but it's warmer down here.
