The Safe Place

For many this is a dreadful place

But for him it is so much more

A place where all the rooms are brightly colored

The halls filled with frowns

And a boy with a glim in his eye

Full of hope of a place so many hate

A night he just wants to escape

The tears hidden by a smile

And bruises by cloth

Memories flooding his brain

So grateful for this lovely place

A safe place
