Safe Place

In her bedroom closet,
all alone. How simple amazing it is.
People would think it's just an ordinary closet,
but this one is far from it.
The teddy bear,
provides comfort,
for her fear.
Yes, she is hiding in there.
From what exactly may that be?
Well her dad is angry, but you cannot see.
She has no choice but to hide.
Her fear of pain devours her,
like a lion to its prey.
Hopeless and defenseless.
With her teddy bear, she has
no choice but to wait
for the lion, to pounce
on its prey,
a loss, and a
defeat.
